Fancied a challenge

I’ve just recently turned 21 and this year I feel I just want to challenge myself a lot and also face my fears too.

I booked a holiday for myself with my parter to the Dominican, 9 hour flight and I hate flying.. I thought forcing myself on a long flight with crazy turbulence may I add, would put me out of my comfort zone and help my fears. It did massively. I also hate with a capital H thunder storms, I don’t know why I’m so afraid or why they give me so anxiety but sadly they do. So I thought what better than to make myself go to the Caribbean and face those fears also at the same time! Luckily for me.. kind of there wasn’t any so that didn’t work, but I did however have an amazing time and I loved every minute… definite return!

Secondly I’ve been driving for nearly two years now and had an 2002 fiat punto that died on me and I made a big girl step financially and decided to buy myself a brand new polo, I’ve been thinking and looking at cars for the last year and finaly in September I decided to make the big step and order myself a new car, this arrived last week and I’m totally in love!! Too add to driving section of my great challenges this year I also want to set myself a challenge to drive a long distance journey, longer than an hour.. which I am still yet todo!

I’ve recently decided I wanted to dye my hair a little darker and cut it… I also hate having my hair cut! I had the day of yesterday and decided to have a chop and also go darker for winter and I’ve been dying my hair a light blonde since I was 14 years old, it doesn’t seem like much to most people but I found this a massive changed but I loved the out come!! Hopefully looking to go even darker next month and I feel great about it!

Through out the next year I’m going to do challenges, big or small to put me out out of my comfort zone and do things I wouldn’t normally do due to fear, I hope I stick to this and hopefully more changes to come!

Taking a breath.

I’ve had the busiest week and I finally had a day of today. I spent it just relaxing and doing everything at my own pace, it was so lovely. Sometimes I believe life is going at such a fast pace and we need to just slow down before we over stesss!!

I let myself sleep in which was so needed after getting up real early for the last week! I had breakfast in bed and then sat and watched some YouTube videos.

After a lovely salad I got ready and took the dog for a nice brisk walk and I just felt so relaxed! It was nice to walk him far and not be rushed for time and we found a nice place for him to go off the lead and have a run around as he’s not a massive fan of walking on the lead to much.

I love walking, I love the fresh air and I love just being with my own thoughts. It’s so important to just give yourself time even if it’s just five minuets everyday, life is way to short to be over stressed and worried! Give yourself some time to sit back and think and breath!! Have a bath or listen to music, or even watch an episode of your favourite tv show on your own!

Alone time is good and it’s normal and it’s something we need every once in a while just to be with your own train of thought and remember what’s important about life, you are important!

SUNDAY PAMPER.

I’ve had the busiest week and my skin is feeling it! So tonight I decided to have a really relaxing night and gave my skin some TLC. I used my 5 all time favourite products all from Liz Earle and I use most of the daily.

First I start off with the cleanse and polish and run my cloth under the hot tap to get it nice and warm, and then I’ll pump a small amount of the cleanse and polish on my hand and start to rub it around my face in slow circlur movements. Then I’ll take it off with with the cloth.

Secondly I’ll grab some cotton wool pads and pour a tiny bit of skin tonic on and again run in a small circular motion around my face. This product is my ultimate favourite I love how it makes me skin feel after, I personally feel like it really gets all the excess dirt off my face without making it red and rough! I feel the tonic feels really natural and simple to use and would really really recomend this if you don’t like using much product on your skin.

Thirdly again I will put this on a cotton pad and do the same as the tonic but this is just for your eyes, you need the tiniest amount of the eye lotion as it goes a long way. This takes off your eye make up so simply and also again doesn’t leave your skin red and feeling rough where you’ve been rubbing to get off your make up. This product is also so great because it’s really cool and soothing and you can also use it for bites and cuts.

Then next I will pop the mask on for 10-15 minuets and honestly this is the most amazing mask, it smells Devine and makes my skin feel so soft and fresh!! This is a massive recomend. I got this  in a gift box but you are able to buy it separate it’s not that expensive and it’s such a good product, I probably use this 1-2 a week but you could use it more or less depending on skin type!

Lastly after using this product I will use a clean cloth and take off the excess product by gently rubbing in big circular motions to make sure everything is clean and gone. Then once clean I’ll pop on a small amount (one pump to be prastice) of the Liz Earle Comination to oily moisturiser, I love this product so much and this is my 3rd bottle this year, it’s around £20 but for winter it’s an absolute god send and a must have product!!

If you are looking to splash out a little on skin Liz Earle is a must! There’s so much option for different skin types and I don’t believe it’s to expensive really considering how long all these products last!! This whole routine took me about 20 minuets but I make sure I take my time because i believe it’s so important to look after your skin and it’s not really something that should be rushed if not needed!

Dominican Republic!

Ive just come back from the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC. I went there for a holiday and some time away to celebrate my 21st birthday with my boyfriend. And it was the most amazing trip, we’ve been lucky enough to go on a few this year but this one was one of the best.

I really wanted a relaxing trip and aimed to spend most of the time at the beach or on a sun lounger by the pool with a cocktail in my hand!

We went with Thomson and got a package deal as sometimes I believe they can be the easiest (obviously depending on trip type). The flight was 8 hours there and back and the time difference is 5 hours behind, I am very tired!
I believe this is so worth I love visiting new places and because it was my 21st I really wanted to try a new and different country and I am so glad we did.
We stayed at an all inclusive hotel called the Riu Bachatta, lovely hotel but could use some work with updated food options and even investing in a snack bar like promised! I love fruit by the pool I’m just saying.
Me and my boyfriend don’t mind all inclusive at all we’re not fussy eaters and are easily pleased with simple food. We also find having a drinks service 24/7 is very handy and as staying hydrated in hot temperatures are extreamly important!

The weather was was also beautiful but at times annoying because we were in the Caribbean during hurricane season and hurricane Matthew we had a few showers towards the end of our stay especially our last full day but I still managed to catch a nice glowy tan!

I probably spent most of my days pretending to be a photographer and trying to catch the best shots and videos! The place was so beautiful I don’t understand how you couldn’t constantly keep snapping away capture these beautiful picturesque views! (Sorry instagram followers)

On the day of my birthday I just wanted to chill we were going to go to a place called paradise island which looked incredible but it turned out you’d be on the island for a short time and trying to get to it for the rest of the day. For the money they were asking it didn’t seem worth it, So we just relaxed at the beach and I was perfectly fine with that!

When we came back to our room the maids had decorated it in balloons and left a card and a hand maid mug which was incredibly sweet and lovely of them and the hotel! In the evening we went to there steak house and had a very nice sit down meal which made a nice change from the buffet and it was also located on the beach so we could hear the waves, very relaxing!

The hotel ground we great and there were so very beautiful and colourful shop buildings sadly we looked once but just got swamped by the shop keepers trying to sell us things which was really annoying and intimidating. They keept giving me free ankle bracelets and would put them on me before I could even decline! This is so you feel guilty in to buying something… terribly annoying! There was some lovely stuff in the shops too but because they make you feel so uncomfortable you don’t even want to look or entertain the idea of purchasing any items from them.

All in all we had the best trip and will return to the Dominican Republic, the island is just beyond stunning and the people are so lovely and friendly! I honestly recomend to go if you are planing to go to the carribbean!
